Title
Pairing state of superconductivity next to fractional anomalous Hall states
Plain · changed
Revision 1: Twisted MoTe2 superconducts at fillings next to its fractional quantum anomalous Hall states (zero-field fractional Hall states), and it is unknown whether the pairs break time-reversal symmetry and carry topological edge modes.
Revision 2: Twisted $\mathrm{MoTe_2}$ superconducts at fillings next to its fractional quantum anomalous Hall states (zero-field fractional Hall states), and it is unknown whether the pairs break time-reversal symmetry and carry topological edge modes.

Revision 1: A 2025 report (arXiv:2504.06972) found superconductivity in twisted bilayer MoTe2 near reentrant integer and fractional quantum anomalous Hall insulators, emerging from a spin- and valley-polarized normal state with anomalous Hall hysteresis. Determine the order parameter (chiral intravalley pairing breaking time reversal versus intervalley pairing) and its Bogoliubov Chern number, i.e., the number of chiral Majorana edge modes. An answer gives the pairing symmetry and edge-mode count with direct evidence.

A 2026 twist-angle study (arXiv:2603.16412) reports valley-degenerate superconductivity at larger angles; pairing symmetry near the fractional states is undetermined as of 2026.
